In this tour I will take you on a beautiful walk through the old Jewish Quarter. This quiet part of Amsterdam is full of history, significant spots and important monuments. Along the way I will tell about the Jewish history and The Second World War. Learn about the start of the Jewish community and how the Family Frank once came to Amsterdam as a refugee. See where the first round-ups happened in the war and hear how the Amsterdammers responded. Find out about the resistance and the betrayal, and get a full view of what happened in The Netherlands during five years of oppression. After a break, we will go by tram to the centre of the city. Here you can find the National Monument and walk over the famous canals to the Anne Frank House. Tickets to the Anne Frank House can be included, if the tour is booked more than 6 weeks in advance. Tickets will add to the price. The tour can be easily customised, based upon your wishes and preferred meeting location.
- Portuguese Synagogue (Outside) - Dokwerker monument - Stumble Stones - Names Monument - Auschwitz monument - Artis Zoo - Hollandse Schouwburg (Former collection point) - Dam Square with the National Monument - Famous Canal Belt - West Church - Anne Frank House (Outside, unless tickets are available.)
