Nagarkot is a spot loved by both locals and foreigners for its natural beauty which is only 32 kilometres far from Kathmandu valley. It is one of the best vantage points for sunrise and sunset over the Himalayas. Hiking to Nagarkot takes you through lush forests and some local settlements where you can witness the traditional way of living. A short yet rewarding hike, there are several other hiking routes connected that you can go for if you want to extend the hike. The tour is perfect for nature lovers who want to have a short escape from the hustle and bustle. Once you arrive at the top, you get to see the view of the entire valley backdropped by green hills and the Himalayan Mountain Range including Mt. Everest as the sun leaves its last ray of the day. The next morning, get ready to be mesmerized by the majestic sunrise view over the mountains. With the stunning sights of the Himalayas, lush green hills, serene environment, and fresh air, this tour will nurture you with natural healing.
Day 1: - Our tour starts by picking up you from the hotel in Kathmandu at 8:00 am with a private vehicle. Once reaching Bhaktapur, our hike will start. - After approximately 1-hour walk, we will reach one of Nepal's oldest temples made around 323 A. D. , the Chagunarayn Temple. - In approximately 2-3 hours (according to the guest walks time), we will reach a local hotel and see on the way beautiful forest, villages and paddy farms. - We will enjoy our stay at this local hotel by viewing the sunset and tasting the local Nepali cuisine (not included in the price). The best view of the month is from October to March. Here is the perfect place for meditation, yoga or healing exercise, if you want to do this let me know in advance. Day 2: - Early morning wake up for the sunrise (depending on the local sunrise time). - Then, we will return back to Kathmandu.
