Join me to discover one of the best-preserved and most beautiful medieval fortified towns in Europe! The walls were built throughout the centuries to protect the citizens from enemies. There are three gates to enter, we will enter through the Sea gate which serves as the main door, and once inside the ramparts, you will see why the town was deemed a World Heritage Site. Kotor is my home town so I enter the old town on daily bases.

 I know it inside out so, I will take you to parts only a few have seen. Also, I will fill you in on all the gossip which is traditionally spoken by the water pump, Karampana. Many important buildings stand on public squares with funny names such as the Lettuce Square, Flour Square, and Milk Square. Beautiful palaces are converted into hotels, restaurants, and coffee shops.

The most significant medieval monument is the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon. Looking up at its high towers with fragments of the fortified walls peaking behind them will take your breath away.

Via tunnel, only 17 KM ( 20 minutes) away from the Port of Kotor is the town of Tivat with its now famous marina, Porto Montenegro. The first luxury marina on the Adriatic coast. I have followed its development from a ship arsenal to this spectacular complex which I take great pride of in being a part of my life in Montenegro. Strolling by beautiful mega yachts, high end shopping and dinning will make you feel as in Monaco. Optional is my favorite restaurant "Al Posto Giusto", a local restaurant with an Italian name meaning "The right place" confirming our visit :) Next we will take a short walk to Tivat's center from where is a beautiful view of Mount Lovcen, Montenegrin pride.
Back to Kotor, contrary to Tivat is an medieval Venetian town embedded by walls with 3 gates, we will enter the sea gate from where you will be impressed by its conservation and its livelihood. Everything you need is within the walls. With a little help from me Kotor will probably be on top list of favorite places.

You will have walking tour at the Old royal capital Cetinje - town museum and protector of the history and tradition of medieval Montenegro.
Highlight of the tour will be visit of Montenegrin village. We will be hosted at beekeeper's farm where our host will tell us stories about biodiversity of Montenegro and tradition of Montenegrin beekeeping.

We will have lunch at 200 years old part of the house. You will try different liqueurs made of honey and berries, famous honey wine and fruit brandies. We will taste his honey and donuts, local smoked prosciutto, 3 sort of the cheese, followed by the roasted meat with potato.
