Gagauzia - the Land of Nomads.

Gagauzia - is a steppe region in the south of Moldova, populated by a unique Gagauz ethnic group. What Turkish speaking population from Bulgaria doing in Moldova? It is a very interesting and complicated question, which can be only understood by visiting the area. Nowadays, Gagauzia is an agricultural region, populated by hard-working and hospitable people, who were fighting for their Autonomy in 1990. but always remained peaceful and intelligent. First, we visit Manuc Bey Castle, which is on the way to Gagauzia. The local guide will show us a big Manor house, its underground galleries, and quite unique museum. After Manuc-Bey we continue our drive to the South - heading to Komrat, the capital of Gagauzia. Well, don't expect to see big luxury buildings, but interesting Gagauz history and cultural spots are guaranteed! The whole picture of Gagauzia will give us also Besalma and Avdarma villages.
