Guadalajara is a walkable "traditional modern" city, making possible to enjoy, discover and understand all changes through time, social and economics movements. We start in Chapultepec the "hipster" area in town. There is used to be the wealthiest neighborhood back to the 1900's, continuing to The Expiatory Church one of the most beautiful building in Guadalajara, after that we are going to visit the murals of Jose Clemente Orozco one of the biggest muralist in Mexico, then we headed to historical downtown were we are going to visit the Cross of Plazas, the Cathedral, The Degollado Theater and the Museum Cabañas.
It's a long walking but I love to slow down, taking a little break, coffee or snacks, seating in a park or just having a while more to admire the city.

Mexico Guadalajara Tequila Tour - Full Day

The route is called LA RUTA DEL TEQUILA a name that was given by UNESCO since as long as it preserves the crops on the Blue Agave path. Stops will also be made to take photos and see the Tequila process. Here you will learn the whole process of how the Tequila so famous in the world since 1670. I will guide you so that you can enter into the experience of testing 10 different tequilas and touching the plant, feeling its weight and seeing that you can cook and squeeze its juice from an agave plant and then obtain that delicious delicacy that is the best known Tequila in the World.

Later we will move to try the Famosos Cantaritos which is served in a clay glass with Tequila, juices and slimes and ice and soda a very cold drink for the occasion. After cooling off we move to the town of Tequila and enjoying a time of food and then walked around the town to enjoy its variety of crafts and then it would be the return to the Hotel.

No trip to Mexico is complete without experiencing Lucha Libre!

This is not just professional wrestling, this is the most popular sport in Mexico besides Futbol. While many outside Mexico grew up with Superman and Batman, we grew up with Santo and Blue Demon as our heroes to watch on TV and in the movies!

Besides attending the lucha libre show, we'll be acting in a true Mexican fashion by going to a cantina to prepare ourselves for the show. The main event will be in the Coliseo, and in my personal opinion, I believe half of the show of takes place in the audience.

While the acrobatics are happening in the ring, you're going to want to pay attention to the banter between the different sections of the audience in the arena. I really do think it is a multi-dimensional experience!

Let's learn about the history of 481 years, that the buildings share with us. We can enjoy a good cold beer in the oldest cantina in Guadalajara that opened in 1921. I will share its story about a bicycle that was forgotten. We will visit Tlaquepaque (shopping for handicrafts), a beautiful place with houses from the 18th century and where one would like to spend a whole day in this Magical Town since its stops and restaurants encourage you.

We will drive and make a few stops for photos on the road and visit a Gothic Church. You will see close to downtown the technology square that offers a lot of items. After driving by, we will stop to visit the beautiful center of Guadalajara where you can see the Mexican families walking and doing their personal shopping with a pleasant climate.

After walking and enjoying the place we will have our food and then we can return to your hotel.
