In ancient lore, lies a tale of divine sacrifice to breathe life into the sun. As each god dutifully accepted their role, Xolotl, the enigmatic god of monsters, sought refuge amidst the ancient lakes and canals of Xochimilco, evading the eyes of his brethren. As he fled, the sun, in need of his sacrifice, was frozen in place… Nice to meet you! Today, I'll be your guide and show you around like an old friend would! We'll start by immersing ourselves in a beautiful park steeped in tradition, where we'll savor some delicious churros. Later, we'll explore Coyoacan's famous Handcraft Market before embarking on our personal floating adventure aboard a traditional Trajinera, enjoy some Mariachi music while marveling at the Xochimilco canals, and, finally, pay a visit to a local Axolotl Preservation Center!
