Visiting San Miguel de Allende is definitely a must-do experience in Mexico, but most first-time travelers often miss out on other interesting places like Queretaro City and its vineyards. I've been lucky to explore this part of Mexico because my parents used to take me there on vacations when I was a kid, and years later, I developed a taste for colonial history and the culture of wine and cheese. On this journey, we'll discover Queretaro's historic downtown (a UNESCO World Heritage site) and taste the local wine from the Guanajuato region, guided by a knowledgeable sommelier. We'll take a tour of their vineyards and try 5 different types of wines produced right there. Finally, we'll arrive in San Miguel de Allende in the evening with experiences that I assure you will have been worth the trip!
Hotel pick up (in Mexico City) Departure to Queretaro Walking tour of the Historic downtown where we'll explore the highlights of the Baroque era and its churches. Lunch at a local restaurant Head to the vineyards for a tasting of various local wines. Finally, depart for San Miguel and be dropped off at your hotel.
