While many including me prefer Uxmal over Chichen Itzá I understand that people want to see Chichen Itza for themselves and so this tour is designed to indulge that desire. Some people also call the site Chicken Pizza so, while there is no pizza, there IS some great chicken on this tour. There are cenotes en route as well and we will stop at one. And some of the best grilled street-food chicken anywhere. What makes this tour special (and different from many tours offering Chichen Itza) is that all entry and guide fees and your portion of delicious chicken (again with the chicken) are already included.
After picking you up in Merida EARLY, it's an hour and change to the site of Chichen Itza. We will be taking the toll road (included) to get you there as quickly as possible to avoid crowds, vendors and the heat! Once there, you will tour the site for an hour or two, depending on your interest and if you are loving it or not. From Chichen Itza, we will drive in a meandering fashion on the non-toll, non-boring highway through small towns and villages on our way back to Merida. We will be stopping at a cenote for a dip or a look, and enjoying some great roadside chicken that will be lunch. Yes, I mentioned the chicken again. We will be hiring a guide at Chichen Itzá for the actual archeological tour of that site.
