There is a reason why, on this location, 700 years ago, the Aztec emperors came to relax, then 200 years later, the Spanish Conquistadors did the same and wouldn't you know it, 500 hundred years later, it became the home of intellectuals, artists, and a somewhat famous couple, Frida and Diego, heard of them? So, the cobblestone streets, tranquility and charm of this beautiful neighbourhood must have something in the air right? Myself I've had many adventures, posadas, dates, pastorelas, tertulias and radical hairstyle changes, to name a few, in this lively corner of Mexico City. An Arts and Crafts market , brimming with potencial souvenirs, complements a food market where local delicacies await. And of course, Frida Kahlo's house is there to welcome the rebel artist in all of us. So do not delay any further, join me as we loose ourselves in enchanting alleys.
