By far Teotihuacan is one of my favorite archeological sites!

The ancient Metropoli of Teotihuacan was a civilization that had a great influence within the whole Mesoamerica area. With a multiethnic population of maybe 150, 000 thousand people, larger than Rome, it was an important cultural, political and religious center of the Classic Period. The imposing pyramid of the Sun and other monumental buildings have remained a mystery for archeologists. Let me show you mural paintings and some of the secrets of this ancient city.

Located 60 minutes northeast of Mexico city is the archeological site of Teotihuacan, that is a 900 hundred years old city (200 BC-700 AD), for this is the most researched prehispanic ruins of Mexico, and even though we don't know who where the people that build it.

As Mexico cities first UNESCO world heritage site, Xochimilco is an mandatory stop for those who want to have a relaxed day, surrounded by Mexican folklore, enjoying fresh air in the city's greenest part.

Although the modern "trajineras" have changed their look, from the ones the old Aztecs used, we are embarking our ride on the same 180 kilometers-long channel system like once did the legendary founders of Mexico City.

In the second part of our journey we will head to Mexico City most laid back neighborhood- Coyoacán. Once home to national icon Frida Kahlo, colorful colonial houses, great coffee and delicious ice cream are waiting us.

For lunch we will stop at Coyoacán's famous market for some local delicacies. We are finishing our tour at the town's famous main square, with its famous coyote fountain. On our way back we will pass by the blue house to have at least a look at Frida and Diego's famous artist residence from the outside.
