The tour goes through the old capital Mdina and the neighbouring town of Rabat explaining the island's Roman occupation, Arab invasion, turbulent middle ages up to and beyond the arrival of the Knights of Malta, discussing Malta's role in WW2, our religious history and culture. Within the time of the tour there is the option to visit one of the following: the Mdina Cathedral, Wignacourt Museum that has access to Roman catacombs and WW2 shelters, or St Paul's Roman Catacomb complex. The only additional charge would be that of the entrance tickets.
Meet at the Mdina Gate for an overview of the area. Walk through the Mdina, the old capital, explaining the present buildings and some of what came before. Walk through neighbouring Rabat, showcasing our history, architecture, religion and culture. The option to visit one of the following: the Mdina Cathedral, the Wignacourt Museum that has access to Roman catacombs and WW2 shelters, or St Paul's Roman Catacomb complex.
