Next, visit Kek Lok Si Temple, you will see the 36. 5 meters high bronze statue of Kuan Yin (Guanyin), the Goddess of Mercy. British was the first who planted the nutmeg trees & followed by private planters who planted spices, nutmeg, clove, cardamon, chilli & pepper mostly on the western side of the island.
