Maasai Mara Wildebeest Migration Tour

More than 10 years later, I still remember the very first time I witnessed the over 1. 5 million wildebeest migrate on a loop path through Tanzania and Kenya, crossing the crocodile-rich waters of the Mara river. It's almost feels like a fiction movie of various species of animals (wildebeest, zebras, crocodiles, hippos. . ) being unveiled right before your eyes-only that it is real. Very real. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of taking clients each year to witness (and sometimes re-witness) this great wonder of the world. In the most recent years, the migration has mostly been happening in the periods between July and September. However, for a good chance of catching the action, I schedule the tour between early August to mid September. The millions of animals move from the Serengeti plains of Tanzania into Kenya in search of greener, softer pastures, at the end of the May-June rainy season. This is also a feasting season for the Nile crocodiles who reside in the several rivers.
