What makes Amboseli special to me is that it is a game viewing paradise. . . Guaranteed elephant sightings come alongside other incredible wildlife sightings. Its compact size allows you to see virtually every aspect in about 3 days. In addition, Amboseli offers the best views of the world's tallest free-standing mountain and Africa's highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro! Amboseli National Park is situated at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's tallest peak and the lifeline of the Park where melting snow flows into underground springs that feed the swamps and wetlands that dot the plains. These water sources attract animals of all sizes, the most sought-after being the free-roaming elephants, but you may also see elands, waterbucks, Grant's gazelles, warthogs, Coke's hartebeests, zebras and other grazing herbivores. The abundance of large prey supports lions, leopards, civets, wildcats and other elusive hunters, as well as jackals, hyenas and other scavengers.
Suggested itinerary: Day 1 - Pick up and drive to Amboseli Pick up from Nairobi/Mombasa (7:00/5:00 Am) and drive to Amboseli National Park as you see Kenya's townships and the laid back Hakuna Matata culture. You will arrive in time for lunch then proceed to an afternoon game drive and stay late to watch the shades of gold Amboseli sunset. Dinner and overnight at Safari Camp. Day 2 - Amboseli Wake up early to watch the sunrise on Mt. Kilimanjaro like a flower. After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive to noon, returning to your camp for lunch and relaxation and later an evening game drive. Visit the observation Hill, it is the only place where you can get out of your vehicle Day 3 - Return After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive or opt to visit the Maasai village. Visiting the village will allow you to experience the Maasai culture at its best. This experience is very interactive, and we hope you will dance and jump along. Return to Nairobi arriving late in the afternoon.
