The Yakushima Island Tour is a full day tour around the entire island. Included in the tour are a number of waterfalls, a hot spa in the sea, a traditional south island village tour, the UNESCO western road where there is a high chance of seeing endemic macaques & deer, beautiful river spots, the Inakahama (turtle) Beach and much more. The Yakushima Island tour focuses upon the fauna & history of the island. Yakushima has a rich history & unique culture. Circumventing the island without a local guide becomes a shallow experience. The itinerary of the Island Tour can be arranged to suit your interests and also to suit the weather on the day of the tour. We can also arrange to collect you from the ferry or airport upon arrival in the morning and begin the tour immediately so as you are not wasting a valuable day on the island. Alternatively, if you have an afternoon departure back to the mainland then we can arrange an early start and have you back to the port/airport in time for your departure
09:00 is the recommended pick up time. The Yakushima Island Tour itinerary is very dependent upon the location of your hotel as the tour will start from your hotel and end back at the hotel after fully circumventing the island. Drop off at the airport / port can also be arranged. 16:30 return back to the hotel.
