Sapporo is the capital city of Hokkaido. Hokkaido is said to be a food base for all of Japan. In Sapporo, you can enjoy various types of food/cuisine including seafood, dairy products, meat, and agricultural products. You will visit Sapporo Wholesale Market first and can enjoy strolling along the street with fish markets and souvenir shops. After the wholesale market, you will go back to downtown Sapporo and stroll in Odori Park. You also can check out another fish market, Nijo Market, and then Tanuki-koji Shopping Street on the way to go to the Susukino district. Susukino is the largest night spot north of Tokyo. Susukino is also the area where many Hokkaido local cuisine restaurants are located. For example, Sapporo ramen noodles shops, crab meat restaurants, and sushi restaurants can be found there. You might not be able to make up your mind so easily when choosing restaurant for lunch among hundreds of restaurants in that district.
