Ohori Park, the part of Fukuoka Castle is popular and called the Oasis of Fukuoka. Just getting a nice breeze is peaceful. Stroll around the Hakata Merchant Area. You will see the 5 meter Yamakasa float! At Tochoji Buddhist Temple, established in 806 AD. are a big statue of the seated Buddha, the Hell and Heaven Passage, five story red pagoda and more! By subway or bus, go to Ohori Park. 9:30~12:00 Walk and stop by for photos in Castle Area: Ohori Park, Japanese Garden, Fukuoka Castle Ruins, Korokan Ancient Guest House museum 12:30~13:30 Lunch (Ramen or Udon noodles or at your request） 14:00-16:30 Walk and stop by for photos in the Hakata Merchant Area: Kawabata Shopping Arcade, Kushida Shinto Shrine, Hakata Machiya Folk Museum, Tochoji Buddhist Temple, The Gate of Hakata 1000 Year History, 17:00 Return to Hotel or Port Photography is allowed except inside of the temples. *If you have any specific questions or interest, please feel free to send me a message.
