In the 17th Century, Christianity flourished in Amakusa. It is known as a home to "Hidden Christians". Since then devoted Christians in Amakusa have transmitted their belief from generation to generation even under harsh persecution which lasted about 240 years. I am passionate about insightful tour to know about the history of the Hidden Christians visiting Sakitsu Village, which is a part of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage.
