Abruzzo's Truffle Half Day Tour: The Treasure Of The Ground

Italians are lucky and they don't know it! You can find truffle in many region of our country, so most of us grow up thinking that truffles are a delicious, expensive delicacy that everyone in the world knows. But, when I started touring with the first foreign guests, many of them told me: "I hate truffle!". That's because they had only experienced truffle in those "truffle scented" oils that sometimes you find on the table of some restaurants. Well, through this half day with me and my wife Alessia, you'll discover what a real truffle tastes like, and also how much fun it is to find them in the woods, with a little help of a professional truffle hunter and two of the loveliest "truffle dogs" of the planet: Luna and Piccola! After lunch, with a short drive, we'll reach the marvellous Civitella del Tronto fortress. We'll visit both the fortress and the village of Civitella, where you can walk through the narrowest street of Italy, "la Ruetta". . . if we'll fit in it after lunch!
