Shore excursion from your port in Sicily to visit the Mt. Etna, enjoying the unique nature and the local villages around the Volcano, with me, learning more about the geology, history and the local lifestyle. Plenty of photo stops along the way up to the altitude of 6500 feet above the sea level, where we can park the vehicle to take an easy walk around the edge of the extinct Craters and recent lava flows, enjoying an unique moon landscape. The tour includes the visit of Taormina, the most charming town of Sicily, rich of history, it offers also good food and excellent shopping. Starting with a breathtaking view of Isola Bella, I will then take you at the entrance of the old town where you will enjoy easily at your own the beauties of Taormina.
Here is the tipycal itinerary, that can be customized in accordance with your wishes: - Pick-up from your Port of call - Scenic driving from the port to Mt. Etna (about 1,5 hour) - The village of Zafferana Etnea (photo stop) - The great lava casting 1792 (photo stop) - Visit of the Silvestri Craters area (easy guided walk around the crater) - Scenic driving from Mt. Etna to Taormina (about 1 hour) - Photo stop at the Isola Bella (View point) - Visit of Taormina at your own, the most important monuments, such as the famous Ancient Theater, good food and excellent sopping also available in Taormina (time at disposal in accordance with your cruise schedule) - Driving back to the port on time
