Welcome to the Eternal City where the antiquites marry the baroque. This city is an open-air museum but also. . . "a lasagna", with so many different stratigraphic levels and so many ages that is impossible to recognize all. For that you need a great guide really knoledgeable. Let's start visiting the most amazing architectural Piazza Navona, the most beautiful square in Italy, with the Fountain of the 4 Rivers and some important baroque churches, then we'll walk around the Pantheon the most well-preserved ancient temple, we'll have a great walking through some city wonders, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish steps with the world the magnificent view of Rome from the top. - This is the best orientation tour for you to know the centre. Then you can decide to add to this + Colosseum Tour (half day) and Vatican (an other day). I suggest you to take slowly to learn better what you see.
