Maria Rosaria P.
Hi! Welcome to my homepage! My name is Maria Rosaria and I was born in Terracina a charming town...
Itinerary not perfect? Message Maria Rosaria P. to build a tour that’s just right for you.
A different way to approach art history with kids! We start from Capitoline Hill where we meet the she-wolf, who is going to tell us the legend of the two brothers, the founders of Rome. Here we also hear the legend of the geese who saved Rome from Gauls. From here we go via Grazioli, where from the corner of the palace a cat is going to tell us the story of the two Egyptian Gods Isis and Serapis whose temple was built by Romans and was located in this district. Passing near the Pantheon, a must-to see in Rome, we reach the church of S. Eustachio, where from the top of the roof the head of a deer tells us the story of Eustachio, a Roman soldier who was converted to Christianity thanks to the deer! The next stop is the church of the French community in Rome San Luigi dei Francesi where we can meet the salamander, a symbol of the French king that is the source of divine light and Goodness. The last stop is in Navona Square, where we meet a lot of animals!
We will discover: - Capitoline hill - San Luigi dei Francesi church - Pantheon from the inside and surrounding area - Santa Maria under Minerva square - Sant'Eustachio church - Piazza Navona NOTE: Please contact me for a customized itinerary if you wish, and let me know if there are people with mobility problems on the tour. If you need a wheelchair, the itinerary will be different. In all the Roman historical monuments and churches dress code for both men and women requires shoulders and knees to be covered. Shorts and skirts are fine but below the knees. -Churches may not be open to visitors due to religious masses or functions, the guide is not responsible, in which case the guide will explain from outside explain from outside.
