Since I like taking people to see little hidden treasure in Rome, in this tour we will explore two elegant and unique sites of Rome: Coppedè district and Villa Torlonia. Located northeast of the city, the Coppedè district was designed by the architect Coppedè in the early 1900's as a residential area for the Roman aristocracy. The eclectic composition of its 40 buildings ranging from Liberty Style to Art Nouveau, gives visitors walking the streets a jaw-dropping view of magnificent structures. Not far away from it, we will find Villa Torlonia and its park. Abandoned for decades after the World War II and recently open to public, we will visit Casino Nobile, the luxurious residence of Benito Mussolini, il Duce, where he lived with his family for 18 years. We will also visit the enchanting Casina delle Civette, this residence, which Prince Giovanni Torlonia had built and where he lived until his death, is reminiscent of fairytales and storybook.
