Feel the fear and hear the shouts of the crowd below you as you enjoy this full tour at the Colosseum. You'll see in the footsteps of gladiators who waited here before fighthings and be amazed observing the materials and technics of construction of the expert roman engineers!! After the Colosseum tour, you'll experience the very heart of Ancient Rome: the Roman Forum. This was the political hub of the rising city of Rome and became the site of the public life of the Romans during the early Empire with its basilicas, temples and markets . On top of the Palatine Hill you'll discover the origins of Rome with the legend of Remus and Romulus, you'll see the stratifications of the area throught the ruins of the imperials palaces and Pope's gardens!
We'll see : Constantine's Arch -Colosseum: first and second ring (Arena Floor optional) Palatine Hill with the massive ruins of the emperor's Palace Breathtaking view over the Roman Forum Arch of Titus (with the famous frieze of the Menorah) Temple of Romulus Temple of Vesta and House of Vestal Virgins Temple of Antoninus Pius and Faustina Temple dedicated to Julius Caesar (the place where he was cremated) The square with the Basilicas Arch of Septimius Severus The Curia (ancient Roman Senate) NOTE: This tour includes the Colosseum Standard Tickets. Walking Tour -For security reasons, all visitors must be checked with metal detectors -Only small bags/backpacks are permitted (size 40x35x15). Long umbrellas are not permitted. -I suggest to bring a bottle of water and to wear comfortable shoes -During the summer, be sure not to forget a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses -During the winter, be sure not to forget a raincoat or small umbrella
