Spello Private Half Day Tour

Spello is a Medieval hamlet without comparison. It's one of Umbria's most enchanting places with a rich history and fabled countryside! Join me in the exploration of this hidden gem as we walk through its crooked streets, ancient city gates and stone houses. The balconies and the stairs are laden with ceramic pots which trail a profusion of flowering plants. It's a genuine competition among the residents who proudly present their ceramic prizes. It's no surprise that Spello is known as the "Town of Flowers". We will meet the locals and you will learn about the "Infiorata", the annual religious flower festival. During one night of the year incredible carpets of pictures made of millions and millions of petals are created. You have to see to believe! Our visit in this dreamy town will include its stunning Renaissance jewel: the Baglioni Chapel painted by Pinturicchio. I will enhance your understanding of the incredible art which surrounds us in every direction. It's one of my favorite things.
