This walking tour is a leisurely stroll through the history of Perugia from its faraway Etruscan origins to a highlight of Renaissance: Perugino's paintings in the National Art Gallery of Umbria. Perugia is also gastronomy: an ice cream cone to taste the variety of hazelnut chocolate "bacio perugina" is a delicious must.
We start our visit in the courtyard of the archeological museum. After a brief historical introduction, we walk up to the Etruscan Gate and discover the center: Piazza d'Italia, Corso Vannucci and the main square with its famous Fontana Maggiore decorated by Nicola and Giovanni Pisano. Not only a work of art, but also a masterpiece of hydraulic engineering. Upon request we can visit the Art Gallery or else the Etruscan Museum.
