I will meet you on Piazza Verdi and from there we will walk through one of the famous open air markets of Palermo, Porta Carini also called Capo. As all markets in Palermo, it really looks like an Arabic "suk". I will buy for you a typical "panella" and "sfincione", that means fried cick pea flour and Sicilian pizza with a wonderful onions and tomato topping . From there we will continue on to the famous Cathedral of the city, an amazing conglomerate of architecture. You will take beautiful pictures of it and of Saint Rosalia, the Patron Saint of Palermo. A few minutes later, after strolling through some very narrow Medieval alleys , we will end up in Ballarò Market, filled with other stands of fresh food: olives, cheese, herbs, capers . . . I will buy for you excellent olives From Ballarò I will take you back to the main street, Via Maqueda near the famous Four Corners square and the monumental Pretoria Fountain , whose nickname is "of the shame". End of our tour
