Did you know that Sicily was actually Spanish since 1282 until 1860? A short period of Sabauda government and the Austrian one, Sicily was above all a vice kingdom, governed by an administrator of the King. In this period Noble families increased their importance and power, manifestation of which was the construction of noble palaces and to finance religious orders, maybe with the hope of earning a piece of Heaven. In Sicily and Palermo, which was the main town of Sicily, rose churches and monasteries in a race for the more beautiful ones. During this itinerary you will hear about the History of this period and we will see some of most beautiful churches and palaces belonging to or built thanks to, noble families and we will learn how nobles lived, during official moments and in everyday life.
- We will start to the Church of Jesus. Then we will go to: - The square of four corners - The Fountain Pretoria - Saint Catherine of Alexandria - We will finish the tour at the Noble Palace The itinerary can be customized according to your requests
