Arabian Legacy in Palermo - Half Day Tour

Between 9th and 11th centuries Muslims started the Sicilian conquest from Africa. They were the best pirates and traders in the Mediterranean Sea. They brought art, technology and new exotic foods from across the seas. When the Normans came from northern Europe, Christians and Muslims lived in peace together, and this is why we still can see clear traces of this culture in Palermo. This process gave birth to the so-called Arab-norman style, and this is nowadays Unesco heritage. What are we going to see? Muslim signs and writings in a Christian Church? How is it possible? A templar church built by the Crusaders in the shape of a mosque? In Palermo? Are we really gonna eat the same food of 1100 years ago, you say? An Eden-like garden inside the old town??
