Guided tour of Padua in the year of the Jubilee

Padua dates back to very ancient times and still counts with evidences of a glorious past as a Roman centre and an enlightened Signoria during Middle Ages. Padua hosts the third oldest University in the Old Continent and that's why important scholars such as Galileo and Copernico lived and taught there. Besides Galileo's stand you can visit the oldest anatomical theatre. The tour offers an enjoyable walk through this charming centre built around an elegant building called Palazzo della Ragione. Many squares are still nowadays dedicated to colorful markets and gourmet stores. But this town is also a real treasure chest of valuable works of art like Giotto's frescoes in the Scrovegni chapel and St Anthony church, museums we are going to visit. The food market is closed on Sundays.
