Naples Underground World Walking Tour

The tour starts in the lively square Piazza Dante, always full of old book stalls and cafè. Just the time to have our first Neapolitan coffee and we will pass through the ancient doorway, to enter the old city of Naples where we'll visit the old Greek walls at Piazza Bellini. The melodious notes played by the students of San Pietro a Maiella Conservatory will take us to Tribunali Street. Here we will find out the pagan remains used to build the Christian churches and one of the rarest examples of "ludus latrunculorum", the forerunner of board games. From the oldest tower bell in Naples, we will arrive at the centre of the ancient Agora: Piazza S. Gaetano. We will visit the inside of the Church of Saint Lorenzo and its archaeological remains, to touch the incredible historical and architectural stratification of the city centre: Greek, Roman, Gothic, Baroque, every style is here! Our walking tour will visit the inside of the Underground City and its amazing water basins.
