The best of the city in half day: during our tour I will show you the highlights but also hidden details and secret histories. Duomo is the cathedral and the breathtaking symbol of the city since 1386: visiting it with a guide gives you the opportunity to have a complete access to the rooftop, inside of the cathedral and archeological area underground. After the visit of the Duomo we walk through Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the first shopping mall in the world and an innovative "salotto elegante", to reach Scala Opera House. The real temple of music has been hosting the greatest international artists since 1778!

Next optional stops are Sforza Castle (a fortress in the past, elegant residence of dukes and today a gem for culture) and Brera, a picturesque district with its alleys full of charm and history.

The historical town is waiting for you! And with me - a real "milanese" - you'll get the best of it! We'll have a walking tour through the old town, discovering the story of the Duomo and its "Madonnina" , we'll stroll through the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele (the shopping arcade of Milan) and we'll be introduced to the fashion system of Milan; we'll reach the Scala square and the famous Scala Opera house.
Then - through the real "Milanese streets"- we'll head to the Sforza Castle dating back to the Renaissance time, which courtyards are still overwhelming. After a glance at the Arch of Peace (dating back to the time of Napoleon), we may end up at the Simplon Park or in the Brera area.
The tour is absolutely flexible, but   to visit the Duomo inside a reservation (and pre-payment ) will be needed , therefore please inform me in advance.

Let's start from the Duomo, the huge and marvelous cathedral of Milan, one of the most important catholic churches on earth. We will dedicate about an hour to the magnificent church. We will continue crossing the fashionable Galleria to reach La Scala Opera House, that we may also visit inside, and, after a 10-minutes long pleasant stroll in the pedestrian area, we reach the Castle Sforza, our last stop in our tour.
We can meet in front of the Duomo or, if you prefer, directly at your hotel. The tour is a walking tour, but by request a private car service can be added.
This tour can be organized in English, French and Italian.

After visiting the most famous sites (Duomo, Alla Scala Theatre and Galleria) and few other very interesting places in the area, we will walk towards the fascinating remains of the old Roman times, before ending our tour sitting down with the view of Navigli for a drink - just like we do!

The tour will start at Duomo Cathedral and will go through some other interesting places, some more famous then others abut all equaly fascinating. I will tell you the history of the places we will see, and the story of some of the personalities that made this city unique.

To be able to show you as many places as possible, this walking tour will not include the inside visit of Duomo Cathedral and Theatre La Scala. However, we will definitely have the time to enter to other places, usually much less crowded and that you probably wouldn't have the chance to visit by yourself.

Starting from the incredible true story of the young boy, an almost forgotten hero who helped a lot of Jewish families during World War II, we will walk around the city, pass by the main places described in the book and learn a lot about the history of Milan during very dramatic years.
We will talk about a very peculiar political and social situation and follow the adventures of the book protagonists in a wounded Milan occupied by the Nazis. We will visit the medieval Sforza Castle, the Monumental Cemetery and Milan downtown under a very special look.

Half a day in the footsteps of Pino Lella

Six hundred years were needed to build up the Duomo. As a local (I was born in Milan!) I will let you have the best of it, visiting the inside of the Duomo and discovering its beautiful stained-glass-windows, visiting the old baptistery chapel underground (dating back to V Cent. a. C. ) and going up to the roof to enjoy Milan from above and to meet the 2. 000 statues located at the top of the Cathedral.
Then, by a historical tram, we'll end up in the canal district (kind of little Venice) where it will be possible to see the Canal "Grande", through which the marble used to build up the Duomo was transported since 1386.
It will be up to you, whether to stay in the district (filled up with restaurants and cafè) for lunch/dinner or an ice-cream/ aperitif.

Leonardo Da Vinci's Milan: Half-Day Walking Tour

Milan is a wonderful city!

Numerous VIP have or have had a connection with this city. Some of them were born in Milan and those who were not came here in search of success and work opportunities.

Who's the most illustrious among them? Leonardo da Vinci, of course! He moved from Florence to Milan at the age of 30 in 1482 and he left here his biggest painting (now under restoration) in the Sala delle Asse at the Sforza Castle.

Two of his portraits are exhibited at the Ambrosiana Museum, one of the oldest and most prestigious museums in the city, together with his drawings and manuscripts from the Atlantic Code. 

And there is finally the world-famous Last Supper at Santa Maria delle Grazie, reservation and ticket purchase in advance mandatory.

In the footsteps of Leonardo Da Vinci to discover his activities at the service of Ludovico il Moro Sforza.

As far as we are aware, Leonardo's first commission in Milan came from the church of San Francesco Grande, the contract was signed on 25 April 1483 and represents the earliest proof of his presence in Milan, and he painted the Virgin on the Rocks. In a letter of Ludovico il Moro - effective ruler of Milan - Leonardo offered his services as a military, as an engineer, architect, musician and only last as a painter and sculptor.
During the private guided walking tour we will go over remarkable records of the presence of Leonardo da Vinci in Milano focusing on them, e. g. the Portrait of a Musician, the Atlantic Code, the famous Last Supper a large wall painting in the Refectory of the Dominican convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie, the decorations inside the Sforza fortress, his vineyard situated opposite the convent in the garden of Casa Atellani.
