Lake Como and its traditions

Can you imagine how life was on lake Como in the past? How people could go from one village to the other one without modern cars and roads? How noble families (and villas’ owners) enjoyed the lake during their vacation periods? And, moreover, did you know that lake Como was the perfect place where generations of wooden boat builders decided to settle and work from the 18th century? In Museo della Barca Lariana, a unique and precious collection of wooden boats from the 18th to the 20th century, you can find the answers to these questions… and much more.
