After having met your private driver at the cruiser terminal in Livorno, sit back and enjoy your drive through the Tuscan countryside towards Florence and then driving up to reach a marvellous panoramic terrace: Piazzale Michelangelo. I will be glad to welcome you here, where you get the most impressive view of the city. Then we get downtown to visit the city centre and its highlights: The Old Bridge, Signoria Square, a stunning open air museum, the Duomo and the famous "Paradise Gate". If you'd like to see the Academia you can book the tickets in advance at the site www.b_ticket.com After the visit of the Academy I can suggest you some of the traditional Florentine restaurants with an excellent reputation. After lunch you'll leave Florence with your driver and enjoy the 50 minute drive to the Pisa where you'll have a brief photo- stop by the Miracles Square to marvel at the Campanile. This famous Bell Tower leans over 16 feet out. Finally relax on the 20-25 minutes transfer back to your ship in Livorno
Driving time from Livorno to Florence: 70 minutes approx - In Florence: Guided tour with Emma Michelangelo Square, Duomo and the Baptistery, Piazza Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio, the Ponte Vecchio, Orsammichele, Accademia : 3 - 3 and 1/2 hr - Free time for lunch : approximately 1 hr Driving time from Florence to Pisa : 45 minutes - 1 hr - Stop in Pisa: a stroll and photo opportunities in the Cathedral Square ( Campo dei Miracoli) : Duomo, Leaning Tower and Baptistery Proceed to Livorno (about 30 minutes ) ** Please Note : on Mondays the Academy is closed and we will visit in substitution another National Museum displaying Michelangelo's masterworks (Cappelle Medicee or Duomo Museum)
