Herculaneum and Mount Vesuvius guided tour (from Naples)

Herculaneum is an incredible ancient Roman city, smaller than Pompeii, but much better preserved. It was a rich city of the Empire that faced the center of the Gulf of Naples; many of his houses are superb and elegant, showing that many of his citizens had achieved good economic prosperity. The visit to the Mount Vesuvius lasts about 2 hours and consists of walking around the crater where you can admire a fantastic view of the Gulf of Naples. You walk enough, it is preferable to wear running shoes. I live on the slopes of Vesuvius and for me it's a fundamental element of the landscape, even knowing that it is the most dangerous volcano in the World. Personally, I consider Herculaneum the most preserved archaeological site from the Roman era in the world, a place where time has stopped.
