It's 300 feet walking far from the Circumvesuviana Train Station, Pompeii Scavi - Villa dei Misteri. At 400feet from the Porta Marina Superiore there is a guarded pay-parking.

Pompeii - This is the fragment of a water pipe. Water coming from a branch of the Serino Aqueduct was channeled into a big City Water Cistern called Castellum Aquae. From this 3 big pipes led water into dozens of thiner pipes running on the surface of the sidewalks. They were made of led. Yes, led. It's toxic but not in Pompeii. If you follow me I will tell you why!!!

Pompeii - The city was very advanced but there was no sewer and an efficient dressage system. This is the reason why in all the streets of Pompeii there were Stepping Stones like these. They correspond to the Crosswalks of today!

An incredible fresco in Pompeii. I would like you to observe the perspective of the background while in the foreground there is a theatrical mask. It was a way for the Romans to worship Baccus who was the God of the Theatre.

The wealthy citizens of Pompeii and Herculaneum loved to decorate their dining rooms (triclinium) with elegant frescos like this. It represents a satyr and a maenad. They are mythological characters, members Baccus worship.

Pompeii - This is the Basilica of Pompeii. It was not a church of the cathedral as the word Basilica could suggest us. It was the Palace of Justice and it worked also as Business Chamber to help the citizens to finalize their deals. The roof and the upper floor are missing but it's still so fascinating.
