Sailing in the beautful marine protected area of Portofino

We leave from the glamour village of Santa Margherita Ligure where we embark on our sailboat. The skipper start to tell us what techniques to master the boat. We sail to Punta Chiappa, where we have the opportunity to swim in the clear waters of the Ligurian Sea, which in this part of the coast are particularly clear. We continue following the main winds, our captain teaching us how to mantein the control of the sailing vessel in the open sea. We reach in the late morning Camogli, after the visit of this old and tiny fishing village we can stop for well deserved lunch. In the afternoon we sail to the bay of San Fruttuoso, where the famous statue of the Crist of the abyss it's placed 17 meters deep in the water. On the way back we sail till Portofino where from the sea we could see first the dramatic and rocky cliff, the nice houses and the beautiful small harbor of the bourg, after that we return to Santa Margherita Ligure.
