On this tour, I'll help you discover the evolution of Italian art from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance and share intriguing stories and secrets behind the artworks. ·After we meet in Via Lambertesca, we'll walk one block towards the Arno river & reach the Gallery. To enter it, we'll have to pass through metal detectors. ·Once inside, we'll reach the 2nd floor & visit Hall 2, showcasing the works of Giotto & other 13th century masters. ·We'll also stop by Hall 7, to see Gentile da Fabriano's Adoration of the Magi, Paolo Uccellos' Battle of San Romano & Domenico Veneziano's Santa Lucia de Magnoli Altarpiece. ·We'll continue on to Hall 8, dedicated to Filippo Lippi. ·We'll then enter the Botticelli Room, which showcases one of the world's most celebrated paintings, The Birth of Venus. ·We'll proceed to Hall 15th which displays works by a young Da Vinci. ·The last highlight in floor 2 is Hall 35 which presents works by Michelangelo. ·Lastly, going down to floor 1, we'll enter Raffaello's room. Note: A tour covering the gallery's highlights could be done in 2 hours, in which case, you may to opt to continue for an hour strolling the streets of Florence together.
