Uffizi Gallery

Uffizi is one of the World's most important museums, among the first public since 1789. Two. floors exhibition space designed as a ONE WAY directions itinerary that allows viewing art through the centuries There are masterpieces from the 1300 till late 1700. The building itself is a superb construction, from the late 16th ct, built to host the administrative and juridical offices of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany. The core of the collection is the Medici heritage. Many other works designed to other location found their way to the Uffizi. The names of the major claim are those of Giotto, Masaccio, Filippo Lippi, Botticelli, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Piero della Francesca, Rubens, Rembrant, Titian, Caravaggio…It is a life event to visit the Gallery of the Uffizi. Some are waiting for years to see these wonderful paintings. It is often very crowded and noisy in the season. May not be an easy tour. Takes physical effort. I could be useful as a guide for an insught but the major attraction are paintings themselves.
