Florence, Walking tour of Fiesole: the most beautiful panorama of Florence !

The Hike on " The Renaissance trail" is a path that surrounds the city and has magnificent vistas of Florence! Fiesole is built on top of the hill and boasts an ancient Roman theatre, the Cathedral and magnificent Renaissance villas surrounded by beautiful Italian gardens, as for example the Medici house of Belcanto. After a short visit of Fiesole, we will venture on foot on a trail in the oak wood, in the enchanting park whose name - Ceceri - refers to the storks that once lived on these hills. A path take us where Leonardo did its human flying experiment and and Michelangelo lived and worked. From here we admire one of the most beautiful view point of Florence besides the stone quarries used to built most of the Renaissance palaces of the city. After lunch we reach the lovely village of Settignano home town of the stone miners. Time permitting we may visit Villa Gamberaia, where Landscape Students come from all over the world to visit and study the Italian garden style.
