Ciao, welcome to my profile, willkommen auf meinem profil! I'm Katia and I have been a Licensed...

The David, with its beauty, is today the most well-known statue on earth. But why was it sculpted? Why did Florentines decide to elevate it as a symbol of the Republic of Florence? Where was it meant to be placed originally? I'll gladly answer these & many other questions, lifting the veil on the most curious & unknown anecdotes from the life of the sculptor & his David. On this tour, we'll stroll through the streets of Florence, the same streets once walked by Michelangelo, and visit the city's 2 most iconic art museums. I'll also tell you which one of them was created not as a museum but as an administrative office building at the behest of the Grand Duke Cosimo I dei Medici. Together we'll spend the day admiring masterpieces by Giotto, Cimabue, Filippo Lippi, Sandro Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael & Caravaggio. The tour can be customized according to your preferences, so please send me a message expressing them and I'll provide an according quote.
-Once we've gathered by the Trattoria Antico Fattore, we will walk down the Arno river and turn left to reach the Uffizi Gallery; the first museum in Europe. -After exploring the Uffizi, we'll stroll through Florence's medieval streets, so I suggest bringing a bottle of water. -We'll proceed to visit Piazza della Signoria and admire the towering Palazzo Vecchio, originally called Palazzo della Signoria. -We'll continue walking and reach Piazza del Duomo, where we'll stand in between Florence Cathedral & the Baptistery of San John. -Further ahead, we'll pass by the Medici Riccardi Palace & contemplate its beauty. -At last, we'll visit the Academy Gallery & see Michelangelo's David. -Uffizi and Accademia Gallery are closed on Mondays. -The itinerary could be on the reverse according to Accademia/Uffizi time slot tickets. -In high season there may be some queues, even with skip-the-line tickets. -This tour can be customized according to your preference

Note: -Please remember to bring your passport, the ticket is NOMINAL and you must show your ID (passport photo on your phone works). -Please write me if there are people with mobility problems and if you use or need a wheelchair, the itinerary will be different. -For security reasons, all visitors are to be screened with Metal Detectors. On request (for an extra price), private transportation is from and back to Cruise Port/Airport or Hotel is available, so send me a message if you want it.
