Leonardo's interactive museum on Via del Castellaccio in Florence houses many wooden machines that were made based on the drawings of the great Renaissance genius. The museum has 3 different floors. On the ground floor you can see some of the most amazing inventions, including the famous flying machines, hydraulic tools and those intended for construction as well as war machines. The upper floor houses the tools used by Brunelleschi to build the dome. Finally, on the lower floor is the workshop with machines that can be operated by visitors!
Ground floor: the gears, screws, lifting tools, and studies on flight and air currents. Weapons. First floor: the tools used by Brunelleschi and designed by Leonardo (winches, pulleys, cranes). Workshop: the impossibility of perpetual motion, studies on weight and optics.
