On this 4-hour tour we will start admiring the incredible collection of Renaissance artworks in the Uffizi Gallery. Through the Scalone Vasariano we will reach the second corridor where we will analyze the paintings arranged in chronological order from the late 13th century moving to the Renaissance period and concluding in the lower floor corridor to discover Baroque masterpieces. We will then conclude our tour at the Accademia Gallery where you will be enchanted by the beauty of Michelangelo's David; you will observe in the center of the Hall of Colossus "The Rape of the Sabine Women" (great model for the famous marble group by Flemish artist Jean de Boulogne) and you will learn about the sculptural technique of the "unfinished" in Michelangelo's "Prisons". You will also see "Il Cassone Adimari" attributed to Masaccio's brother Scheggia and "The Tree of Life" by Pacino di Buonaguida. So are you ready to join me without wasting precious time in long lines at museum entrances?
In the Uffizi Corridor we will talk about statues, Grotesques and the paintings of the Jovian Series and the Aulic Series. After having covered the hall of Maesta we'll continue towards Annunciation by Simone Martini and Lippo Memmi and the Madonnas by Masolino and Masaccio. We will see the works of art of Paolo Uccello, Piero della Francesca, Filippo Lippi. We will see the Christian virtues by Piero and Antonio del Pollaiolo and the masterpieces by Sandro Botticelli. You will discover the first oil painting: the Portinari Triptych and Francesco I's tribune with the Medici Venus (an alchemical masterpiece). After a stunning view of the Ponte Vecchio from the southern corridor we'll proceed to the room dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Raphael. Going down to the first floor you'll be able to admire the baroque period and the hall of Caravaggio. In the Accademia Gallery: the"Rape ofthe Sabine"by Giambologna; the painting Cassone Adimari; Michelangelo'sDavid and the hall of Musical instruments
