Sirmione: Land, Water & Roman Ruins

This tour is an amazing way to experience the best that Italy's largest lake has to offer in just three hours. We will start our tour in front of the medieval Scaligero Castle, one of the most scenic landmarks in Sirmione, where a private boat will take us around the peninsula, cruising by the town's most important palaces and the hardly reachable spots and beaches. At the end of our cruise, we will start exploring Sirmione's old town by feet. We will enter the village passing on a brick bridge at the southern walls of the castle. We will stroll through small streets and cozy piazzas, admiring Sirmione's hidden corners, old churches, and romantic views. Our walk will then take us to the top of the peninsula, where we will visit the best preserved ancient Roman villa in Northern Italy, the Catullus Grottoes. The magnificent ruins of the original palace, surrounded by a lush nature and stunning views, make this archeologic site one of the most spectacular spots of the entire Lake Garda.
