Lake Garda West Coast: Vittoriale & Saló with Cedar Aperitivo

This tour allows you to discover two of the best gems located at the western shore of Italy's biggest lake: the spectacular Vittoriale complex and the charming village of Saló, where we will also be delighted with a local "Aperitivo". The Vittoriale is located in Gardone Riviera, one of the most beautiful and "Mitteleuropean" destinations of Lake Garda. Here in 1921 arrived a bold character: the poet and soldier Gabriele D'Annunzio, who built a huge complex of buildings and gardens on a hill overlooking the lake. We will discover D'Annunzio's bizzare home-musuem, characterized by a multitude of objects and a gloomy atmosphere, a real aphorism of self-celebration. We will walk through the Vittoriale's magnificent gardens, discovering all their gems, like the poet's grave, an amphitheater, an airplane and a huge ship. Finally, we will drive to Saló, an elegant location with a charming old town. Here we will end our tour enjoying a drink with the most famous ingredient of the area: the cedar!
