I was born and raised playing "hide and seek" in the alleyways of these towns. If you come to Amalfi and just visit the cathedral, or walk along the central shopping street, you might like it a lot. But walking up to the most beautiful / silent / panoramic / hidden corners, getting to know the authentic Amalfi, i. e. the maze of alleyways where the "Amalfitani" live, might be the real deal! With this tour, you will dedicate much more time to explore slowly, digging deeper in the local history, and getting to know most of the facts (and some gossips too!) of the town that gives the name to the whole coast, and its tiny twin village Atrani. After the must-sees (Cathedral complex, Arsenali museums), I will take you to points of Amalfi that are not recommended yet on guide books, and then walking through flight of stairs and a thousand-year-old alley to the smallest village in Italy, Atrani. Get ready to say "Ciao!" to a lot of locals of the Amalfi Coast!
- The tour starts near the bus station of Amalfi, where you will have a general historic introduction of the town. - After the option of visiting the cathedral (on your own, because I do not have a license yet for some historic sites), you will walk up to the first hidden corners. The tour continues up to the lower section of the Valley of the Mills, taking a look at some ruins and eventually visiting the Museum of Paper. - Walking up and down the flight of stairs, we will reach the most panoramic side of Amalfi, where we will also make our way to the other tiny town. Once in Atrani, we will discover silent alleyways, and eventually walking up to a panoramic tiny church on top of the village, with a spectacular cave next to it (to be booked in advance). - After exploring other hidden sights, we will either walk back to Amalfi or you will finish the tour enjoying a lemon spritz in the "piazzetta" (little square) in Atrani, or enjoying lunch/dinner by the sea. The tour can be customised as per your request

You will get around on foot, since the tour takes place in pedestrian-only alleyways and corners of the towns. Once the tour finishes in Atrani, it is possible to walk back to Amalfi (15 minutes walk), or I can organise a pick-up by taxi to go back to where you are staying, upon request.
