The most famous walk of the Amalfi peninsula, classed among one of the 10 most beautiful treks in the world! In the past local people used this walk to reach Positano on the coast where they could sell their own local products to the market. They carried their goods by mules following the path along the sea. On this path we can admire the stunning vineyard terraces clinging to the rocks, built using limestone rocks resulting in a magnificent and unique form of art. A spectacular and eye opening view appears at 600 mt of these incredible heights where we are able to see the coastline towards Positano including the islands of "Li Galli" and Capri, a memorable sight! Along the hike, we stop in an organic farm, the Shepherd house, in a spectacular spot and we have a great aperitivo . The owner of the farm is a shepherd, he is very friendly, He will treat us like part of the family, he will offer us their specialities made of organic and seasonal food produced by him.
•We meet in the village of Agerola where you can arrive by car, bus or private van. •Agerola is the starting point of the Path of the Gods. It's a nice village at 600 meters above the sea level. It's also called the "little Switzerland". •We do a round walk along the Path of the Gods to enjoy the stunning view up to the island of Capri •Along the path we stop in a shepherd farm where we have aperitivo based on local, seasonal and organic food. They produce fresh cheese, wine, honey. •After the aperitivo we walk back to Agerola by another path •To consider Walking time: 3 hours and half Distance: 7 km Difference in level: 150 mt down and 150 mt up Equipment:You need hiking shoes with a good grip on the sole. I suggest high shoes up to the ankle and walking sticks. At least 1 lt of water is essential. NOTE: this hike is not suggested for who suffer seriously of altitude.
