We'll explore the origins of Jerusalem and we'll learn why and how King David conquered this place from the Jebusites 3000 years ago and how it became a royal and the capital city. A key site to understand why Jerusalem is so relevant to Jews and Christians. The walking tour could be either through the dry or water channel. On the way we will see the differences between the Canaanite and Hezekiah's tunnel and the remains of King David's palace. Do you know why Hezekiah's tunnel was so important? In this tour I will show you the ruins and the archaeological remains of this wonderful site where Jerusalem began. Great walking tour to start grabbing a good knowledge and experience Jerusalem from the beginning.
We will see; - The lookout where we will see Mount Moriah, Mount of Olives, Kidron valley, and the Southern wall of the city of Jerusalem. - Remains of the palace of King David - Archaeology of the royal quarter - Warren's shaft - Water system - Hezekiah's tunnel (wet) or Canaanite tunnel (dry) - Siloam pool - We go back to the main entrance by foot or by taxi If you would like to customize this tour, please send me a message using the 'message guide' button.
