Shipwrecks and Puffins

Our tour begins in Letterkenny, the earlier the better as we have a lot of ground to cover! We'll head north through Mulroy Bay, headed for the Fanad peninsula (scene of many famous shipwrecks), where we'll stop at the lighthouse and try to see the coast of Canada or Iceland! Then it's off to the Murder Hole, a beach named for its treacherous currents, before reaching Doe Castle, home to the Mac Sweeney clan and a true Romeo and Juliet story! We can pause for a gourmet lunch on the shores of Sheephaven Bay at this point, after which we'll visit Horn Head with its celebrated Puffin colonies. We'll finish up at Bloody Foreland in the heart of the Donegal Gaeltacht or Gaelic speaking region via Magheraroarty and Gortahork.
