This walking tour reconciles your thirst for knowledge with your physical thirst, as well as reconciling Dublin's British heritage (Trinity College, Dublin Castle) with its Irish one (GPO, the pubs).

How this tour works:

Sights: This 4hr tour takes you through some of the most important sights in Dublin. The stories and histories connected with them, explained by your guide, will transport you through the years, passions, pains and legacies of the Irish people.

Pints: Would you rather stand still in the cold for 10 minutes while I explain how Northern Ireland came about, or prefer to be seated in a warm pub, beer in hand?

Some big topics, e. g. Irish Language, Celtic Tiger, are best explained when you're nice and comfortable, so we'll pop into a (great) pub every 20-40mins. Besides the history lessons, you'll learn about beer, the Irish pub, as well as partake in / witness an activity that the Irish are renowned for - conversation.

I am a local Dubliner and having worked as a Tour Guide is some of the best known museums in Dublin I have the local knowledge and contacts to make sure you have a truly memorable experience of Dublin's Fair City.

In the morning we will pass by some of the top sights to see in Dublin including Trinity College, Kilmainham Gaol, Dublin Castle, St Patrick's Cathedral, the Phoenix Park as well as the fine Georgian Squares and cobbled streets of the famous Temple Bar area. Leaving the car for some of the morning there we will walk through the historic Trinity College and learn about some of its famous past pupils including Poets, Politicians and Presidents.
